Our Dedicated and Trustworthy Team
We have humans but it is our dogs we want to show you here. They don't come out on jobs with us in your garden but they are always back at our Blackpool research facility testing, researching and enjoying their garden. With over 25 years experience of lawn testing experience they help us choose the right way to keep great looking grass whoever does your testing.
Professional garden maintenance and outdoor cleaning
Sean
Chief Weed Controller
Sean is focussed on offering garden maintenance and outdoor cleaning services that are professional, reliable and reasonably priced.
He founded Under Pressure CIC after many years working and evangelising for the Third Sector. He has previously founded two social enterprises in his home town of Blackpool and presented the Social Enterprise Podcast for the Guardian.
He's not as important as the girls below so that's enough about him.

Twiglet
Chief Lawn Testing officer
Twiglet joined the team from Ireland, being described by the farmer she previously worked for as the "runt of the litter." She has since proved to be a very special and dedicated employee.
Her expertise is standing in the same place on the lawn for a long time, just looking around and breathing in the Blackpool air.
Outside of work she likes treats, walks and being covered up with a blanket before having another sleep.
Bramble
Ball Retrieval and Squirrel Manager
Born on a farm near Cockerham in Lancashire, Bramble is a working dog through and through.
With a natural and non-aggressive squirrel management technique she says stops them from being too "squirrely".
Outside of work she likes to compete in local ball throwing competitions and sit on the same chair as the Weed Controller even if there's no space.

Chipstick
Digging and Rolling Officer
Our second international member of the team is Chipstick who was found in a box, on a roadside in Romania with her brothers and sisters.
After an 800 mile trip in the back of a van to her now home in Blackpool she instantly showed herself to be a great addition to the Under Pressure canine crew.
Rolling and digging are fundamental when testing the durability of a lawn and Chipstick really loves her work.
She is also an angel.
Pixy
Head of Nursing and Bouncing
Pixy is another North Lancashire recruit.
When we recruited her she was in a difficult domestic situation as her mum and dad were making it clear they wanted her to leave home.
She is loyal, persistent and is also a trained nurse. She treats minor injuries sustained on walks and keeps everyone's faces clean.
She is currently in training for an attempt to jump over the moon.

My favourite quote on what we do at Under Pressure is by Audrey Hepburn, "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow."
Sean McGinty, Chief Weed Controller
